Canberra Shutters is a family owned and locally operated business. Our Owner/Installer Steve Timbrell has over 20 years experience in manufacturing and installing shutters and blinds.

Canberra Shutters does not have a showroom, instead we visit our clients homes to personally discuss our product and designs, and undertake detailed measurements, all on an obligation free basis. Our low overhead approach means that we are able to provide the best prices for roller and plantation shutters in Canberra for excellent quality product.

Being a local small business, it follows that wherever possible we in turn support Australian-made product to supply to our customers.

At Canberra Shutters, we have over 20 years experience in both manufacturing and installation across Sydney and Canberra properties. All installations are undertaken by director Steven Timbrell, to ensure that your home investment is finished to the highest quality.

Consultation and measurements

Steve will visit your home to provide you with the information you need about the Canberra Shutters product range. We will bring a full range of samples so that you can see the finish and colours, and match against existing furnishing.

We will also take measurements so that we can prepare a formal quote for you.

Quote acceptance and order

Once your design specifications have been finalised, your quote will be accepted through our online portal and a deposit taken.

Canberra Shutters will then order your custom made product. General turnaround times for plantation shutters are around 8 weeks, and roller shutters are 3 weeks.

Installation

Canberra Shutters will provide you updates as to the estimated installation date of your shutters.  Around a week before installation can occur, we will contact you to arrange a time that we can install your product.

Our installation times are between 7.00am to 4pm Monday to Friday.

Our Process

DESIGN AND PLANNING

2+ hours
  • Initial meeting at your home. We bring a full range of samples for you to review and match against existing furnishings.
  • Examine window openings and take measurements
  • Discuss insulation/thermal requirements and objectives
  • Consider and agree shutter/blind configuration including reviewing materials/fabrics swatches
  • Formal written quotation within 24 hours

DESIGN ACCEPTANCE

Client-led
  • Formal written quotation provided to you via email through Quotient application
  • Customer reviews quote. Any changes are discussed
  • Quote is accepted via Quotient app and deposit paid
  • Order is placed and manufacturing commences

TIME TO INSTALLATION

2-8 Weeks
  • Canberra Shutters will call you to arrange installation date and time
  • Installation time required will be indicated during booking process
  • Final payment due upon installation via direct deposit or credit card. Cheques by prior arrangement
  • Roller shutters and blinds have an average delivery time of 2 weeks
  • Plantation shutters have an average delivery time of 8 weeks
  • Our usual installation times are between 7.00am and 4pm Monday to Friday
